I've been doing this survey after my homework is finished and before Paul wakes up each morning... I need to stop that, though, am very sleepy. -.-

But, yes... it's an interesting survey, more "tell us about your life/philosophies" than "tell us a lot of random identification facts that we already knew." That said, it's long, and I don't really expect many other people to do it, though I'd be interested in their answers...

A - Accidents
01. Have you ever been in a car accident? Nothing major.
02. Do you have a lot of scars? Yes.
03. Have you ever been in a fist fight with someone? Only when I was a kidling. And, well, fake/play-fight ones.
04. Have you ever seriously hurt anyone by mistake? I don't think so... not seriously enough for medical attention, anyway.
05. Have you ever had stitches? Where? Yes, on my scalp and over my eyebrow (silly brother and his wooden trollies).

B - Beauty
06. Do you consider yourself beautiful? No, but I like that I don't worry about it that much.
07. Are you self conscious of how you look? See above. (Though at times, like all girls, I can be intensely self conscious.)
08. Do you put on a lot of make-up? Not anymore. Mascara, sometimes.
09. Would you ever consider getting plastic surgery? No... well, it might be nice to fix the eight-year-old tear in my ear, but it's not essential.
10. What do you think makes a person beautiful? Lovely smiles, genuinity, pretty eyes, and a beautiful personality.

C - Consequences
11. What was the longest amount of time you've been grounded for? Half a year, but my parents didn't hold out that long.
12. What would you do if you got pregnant, keep it or have an abortion? ... that entirely depends, and the father would have his say, too.
13. Do you ever think about how your actions affect other people? Yes, I try to.
14. What do you think is the worst punishment someone could give you? Someone I love and adulate telling me they're disappointed... that stings like nothing else.
15. What is one thing you wish you didn't do, just because it wasn't worth it in the end? Hmm. There are so many. Can I just say, "first semester junior year"?

D - Dealing
16. When you are mad at someone, how do you show them? I don't get mad that often... more hurt. And when I really am mad, I fear losing control, so I tend to simply leave and/or be silent for several minutes.
17. Name a time when you had to be strong. Second semester sophomore year. (No, I don't like being specific. :p)
18. Have you ever dealt with a divorce or parents fighting? Any kind of abuse at home? Ja.
19. When people at school don't accept you, or have problems with you, how do you react? ...I think I take a somewhat masochistic pleasure in it. I'm (not-so-)secretly an attention-whore, I like being different.
20. Have you ever lost someone to death? Explain how you got through it. Yes... and no, I don't want to right now, 'cos for once I'm not depressed, and I don't want to ruin that. :p

E - Experience
21. Have you ever had a job? Any volunteer jobs? Yes, I've been a library page and a Burger Slave and a gardener.
22. Do you think that you are sexually experienced, or not at all? *leaves blank due to prudish friends and brother who read this*
23. Have you gone through a lot emotionally, or has life been easy thus far? I think I've been through a fair amount... though I always had a good support system. I don't know what it's like to be completely alone.
24. Do you think you are ready to be on your own (have your own home, job, etc.)? No. -_- Am definitely in the transition stage - I like playing grown-up, but I need to get a LOT more adept with practical things (like financial management, and routinely cleaning out the fridge).
25. How old do you act? That changes every minute. As young as four, as old as... as old as I need to be.

F - Family
26. Is there anyone in your family you don't talk to? Why? My ex-uncle George, though 'm not sure he counts as part of the family... uhm, a lot of cousins and aunts and uncles that I simply don't see very often, because I have so many.
27. If you had to choose, family or friends? Some of my family members are friends, and some friends are like family. <3 I refuse to make a distinction.
28. Can you tell your parents or one of your parents anything? No, but I can have pretty sincere discussions with my father.
29. Do you have any siblings? If so, do you ever get jealous of them? Yesh, Ken... iunno, at times. I'm jealous of his apparent mastery of college life, but I know it didn't come easily to him, either... I'm jealous that his girlfriend is only a few rooms away, but he had to wait for that, as well. Of natural abilities? I think we are similar enough in most regards that a little work can compensate for any differences.
30. How often do you spend 'quality time' with family members? Ken? Virtually every day. Parents, when I go home, and that's not so often. ._.

G - Growing
31. How tall are you? How tall do you wish you were? 5'2"! I used to wish I was even shorter, but now... well, if I was shorter, it would be realllly hard to kiss my giant 6' boyfriend.
32. Do you think that you have grown more in the past year than any year before that? No, 16 was the year of total perspective overhaul.
33. As a person, do you think you are mature for your age or still act childish? It alternates. Intellectually mature, but not always emotionally so.
34. Are you scared to think that one day you will turn 30, then 40, then 50? No... though I will be honest, it has once again become very important that I reach those ages with a (particular) lover at my side.
35. Do you believe you still have a lot to learn? Of course.

H - Hope
36. Love - real or not? Real.
37. Are you a pessimist of an optimist? I'm a pessoptimist.
38. Do you believe in fate, that everything happens for a reason, or do you think that our actions lead the way? I don't believe in fate.

I - Issues
41. Do you suffer from depression or constant sadness/loneliness? I've been diagnosed as clinically depressed and all that, but it happens in phases... and even then, despite how it feels, it would probably be exaggeration to call it "constant."
42. Do you have any type of disease or disability? No.
43. Are you currently in a hard relationship or have bad luck with the opposite sex? ...Why "opposite"? :p But no, my relationship is wonderful.
44. Do you think that you are alone in this world? No. <3
45. How often do you think about death, suicide or running away? Death... once a week or so? Suicide, much more rarely; running away, virtually never.

J - Jokes
46. Say a word or phrase that would not be funny to anyone but you & one of your friends (an inside joke). Uhhh. Let's get some bears!
47. Are you usually the one making people laugh, or the other way around? Both.
48. Do you cry when you laugh hard? Rarely, ja.
49. Write down a hilarious moment you had with someone that makes you laugh to this day. Okay, so this one time I was sleeping over at Jeep's house, and we were making couch forts and fighting and generally having an awesome time. And then I decided it would be a good idea to leap from the top of her staircase to the bottom. But there's a shift in ceiling level - there goes my trajectory. :o I collided and fell straight down to the ground, where I was convulsed in hysterical laughter/pain for several minutes.
50. Do you ever get in trouble for laughing or talking a lot during class? No, 'cos I'm in college and I don't have friends lolz.

K - Knowledge
51. The purpose of school: to learn, to cause trouble or to hang out with friends? To learn and make friends. And cause progressive trouble! :D
52. Do people refer to you as smart, dumb, or average? Smart... unless they don't know me (the guy in the catering truck who thinks I'm mentally handicapped) or know me really well (just ask Jeep Chan).
53. What was the highest grade you have received (full course mark)? And the lowest? Umm, like... 112% in Government, which reflects the ridiculous-ness of the junior high system. Lowest? C in geometry.
54. What was your last average? ...GPA? Um... my GPA on finishing HS was 4.4 or so.
55. What do you find the most interesting subject to be (to study or to talk about)? There are many things - ecology, history, politics, books, language, religion - but in the end, it has to be people. ^^

L - Love
56. Are you currently in love? Yes.
57. Do people around you show you a lot of love (tell you they love you, hug you, kiss you, etc.)? I can't complain.
58. Is love worth it? 'Tis.
59. Do you hate it when girls in their young teenage years say they 'love' someone that they've been dating for a few months? No.
60. Does it take a lot for you to say you love someone, or is it just a word? It's not "just a word", but if I feel it, I say it.

M - Money
61. Do you believe that money makes the world go round? No, silly, gravitational spin makes the world go round.
62. Is your family on the poor side, average, or above average when it comes to money? How rude! :o I suppose we are middle class or upper middle class. My parents live frugally in some ways and are extravagant in others (travel, gift-giving).
63. Are you saving up for college/university, or planning to? I worked over the summer and junior year to save for uni, but amn't working now.
64. Would you rather win millions of dollars & be set for life, or find the perfect person to marry & start a family with? Hm, the latter... though one might argue that I already have. And in that case, I'll take the cash. ;)
65. On a scale of 1-10, how important is money to you? 3 or 4... I'm not very conscientious about it, and I mostly only spend money on food, but I'm also very glad that I don't have to worry about day-to-day expenses.

N - Naughty [skips this section for above-mentioned reason]
66. Are you a virgin?
67. What do you think about doing sexual things with someone you're not going out with?
68. Do you know anybody you consider a 'slut'? What makes you say that?
69. If you could, would you erase some things you did in the past or make it so you did more? Or are you okay with everything you have done?
70. Do you consider yourself more nice or more naughty? You can't say both!

O - Openness
71. How long does it take for you to open up to someone? Depends on the person... entirely on the person, really. In most cases, if I'm going to trust him/her, I open up immediately; otherwise, years can go by without a really honest flow of emotions.
72. What does it take for you to fully trust someone? *considers* My answer is sort of paradoxical: a really soul-baring exchange, in which they listen and show intelligence and compassion. And yet that can't happen unless I trust them already.
73. Are you generally untrusting towards people because of past experiences, or any other reason? Yes, sort of.
74. When are you comfortable with someone sexually? Depends on gender and a million other things...
75. When it comes to parents and close friends, what's the limit of what you can tell them? Hmmm. It's very high... especially with friends of many years, and with Paul. But I can't/don't really tell them the extent of my intermittent self-loatheryness, because I don't think they'd like hearing it, and I know it wouldn't really help.

I have a hard time sharing things with my parents... I want to, but the honesty always seems to get turned against me eventually. If my mother knows what is truly important to me, she can take it away. Also, they are stiflingly traditional in some aspects.

P - Positive
76. Have you ever had an experience with someone that didn't necessarily end positively? Erm, who hasn't?
77. Do you agree with the saying: better to have loved and lost than not have loved at all? Indeed. And... heh, Will, I do know what I'm talking about.
78. Are you more optimistic or pessimistic? What do you try to be? I'm kind of... optimistic about life in general and pessimistic about the specifics. I try to be optimistic, except for grades/tests, 'cos that way I get pleasantly surprised.
79. Do you agree that something good can come out of everything? Many things... there's always learning.
80. Have you ever had a time where something really bad happened, but something really good happened because of it? If so, please exlain what it was. Ummm... In fifth grade, I had to move schools and was lonely and sad. But some random girl felt sorry for the newbie crying under the oak tree, and so I met my first real best friend.

Q - Questions
81. When faced with a problem, do you ask for help or try to figure it out yourself? I definitely have an independent streak, though it depends on the nature of the problem.
82. Do you often question the world and how we came about? What are some things you would like to know about creation? I don't question creation much anymore, 'cos I see little point to it.

When I was a small kidling (10 years and younger), I believed that the Bible was a direct analogy; each of the seven days corresponded to a few hundred million years (and first there were the sea creatures...). Now I'm all agnostic and "yaaaay Darwin <3", and that satisfies me... it would be interesting to know more about the strains of homo sapiens that disappeared, though, and to see how exactly we made the bridge into self-awareness and consciousness.
83. Do you think the government is truthful? If you could ask the president one question, what would it be? Of course not. And, hm... all of my questions seem rather acidic and/or sarcastic. It might be interesting to ask him if he really did believe there were WMO's in Iraq - or if he has serious intention of militarily antagonizing Iran.
84. When someone does something wrong to you, do you confront them and ask them why they did it or just let it go? I let it go unless it's with someone important, like my boyfriend.
85. What is one unsolved mystery about the world that you want answers to? Loch Ness! :D And why did dinosaurs go away?

R - Respect
86. How do you show respect? By listening and devoting a lot of time/energy/consideration to a person.
87. What can someone do for you to lose all respect for them? Bigotry, creationism... reckless behaviour that endangers other people (sleeping around while infected with the HIV virus, for instance).
88. Do you respect your teachers, parents, and other authority figures? Sooometimes.
89. When you are disrespectful to your parents, what is the punishment? It varies; generally they yell and take away something important to me, ie internet communications.
90. If someone is mean to you, are you mean back or do you kill them with kindness? I try for the latter...

S - School
91. If you are still in school, what grade will you be going into? I'm in my first year of university.
92. When will you graduate high school/college? 2010.
93. After high school, what did you do/are you planning to do? German/Natural Resources major at UIUC.
94. Do you like or hate school? What do you like/hate about it? Ambivalent. I like... the structure, the freedom, the discussion classes, the essays (yes, I'm weird), and some of the teachers. I hate the exams (who doesn't?) and the sense of constant impending doom deadlines. I hate being tired all the time, and I hate chemistry.
95. Have you ever been suspended, expelled, or dropped out of school? No, just LOTS of detentions. And "suspended" once because my father had a cell phone, but I didn't have to serve because it was moronic.

T - Temptation
96. Have you ever done something wrong, knowing it was wrong, because something inside of you said it was okay? Umm, kind of? Those last two phrases seem contradictory...
97. Has anyone ever pressured you to smoke or drink? Did you do it? No and no, unless my parents count.
98. Did you ever cheat on someone? Why did you do it? No.
99. Did you ever want to do something sexual with someone you didn't really know or love? What did you end up doing? ...um?
100. Do you give in to temptation easily, or are you more independent and strong willed? It depends.

U - Unique
101. Would you rather blend in with the crowd or stand out? Blend in.
102. Do you do a lot of things because your friends are doing it? No... not exactly.
103. Do you follow trends, wear whatever you want, or wear really unique pieces? I wear what I want. *nods*
104. Do you give in easily to peer pressure? Do you do things such as smoke, drink, or have casual sex? No.
105. What makes you different from people your age? I'm dating someone who is currently several thousand miles away?

V - Value
106. What's the most expensive thing in your room? My computer.
107. What's more valuable: your life or the lives of your loved ones? Would you sacrifice your life for other people? My loved ones. :o For numbers/practicality if nothing else, and there's a lot of reasons why else. So, yes, of course I would.
108. What is something you value not because it cost a lot, but because it means a lot to you? Hm... iunno, lots of things? The letters/birthday card from Paul, my plushies, my ring, etc.
109. If there was a fire in your house/apartment, what is the first thing you would grab? I would be too startled and absent-minded to grab anything but my backpack, honestly. (Not to mention JADED because HH's alarm system sucks.)
110. Do you think past memories and experiences are more valuable than what could possibly happen in the future? I, um... what?

W - Wishes
111. If you had three wishes, what would they be? Let's do selfish wishes because world peace is boring. To be with Paul, to speak a dozen languages, and to never have any headaches ever again.
112. Would you rather wish yourself to be happy, or your loved ones? My loved ones.
113. Do you believe that wishes come true if you really believe in them? No, not unless believing = working really hard to bring them about. And even then, it doesn't always work.
114. Have you ever had a wish come true? If so, what was that wish? I wished to do really well on my A.P. tests last year. :D And to go to Germany. And many other things.
115. Do you find wishing for things a waste of time because everything that's meant to happen, will happen? ...wait, what? Oh... no, I don't believe in destiny.

X - Xanga [skips for obvious reasons]
116. Name all your Xanga's here.
117. Name everything you post on your Xanga.
118. How often do you update, check your subscribers/comments, and change your layout?
119. How many subscribers and subscriptions do you have?
120. The greatest thing about Xanga?

Y - You
121. Are you more independant or social? Independent.
122. What is something that makes you very mad when you see it? Horrible parenting! People who abuse their children in public, for Christ's sake... or who neglect/spoil them.
123. Do you think that you have potential to do great things? Sorta, but I'd rather take a nap. v.v
125. Do you think people are generally good? Hmm. With people, I reverse the above optimistic/pessimistic attitude... generally, they must be bad, or there wouldn't be so much unconscionable suffering and pain in the world. But 'most people I know are good.

Z - Zest
126. Are you currently happy with your life? Why or why not? I don't know... I'm happy with my life, I guess, just not with my self. And of course I wish the boy was here (or I was there).
127. Are you more outgoing, ready for anything, or boring and shy? :O I'm exciting and shy. Thrilling, even.
128. When change occurs, do you get scared or are you excited for it? Both; I tend to be really excited first and then go like, "oshi..."
129. Do you like to try new things, meet new people? On rare occasions.
130. What is the most motivational thing in the world? See Machiavelli; it's either love or fear. But I think... I think I'd choose love.
